Pre-lesson Tips

Make pool-time fun, bring toys & play games. In pools, use a noodle or “Puddle-Jumper” instead of a swim vest to encourage a horizontal position. Hold your child on their tummy (with kick) while moving them through the water. Crawl on tummy in very shallow water & get face wet. Do back float – place your child’s head on your shoulder. Briefly take your child underwater (head and face) – play a game and cheer!
