FriscoSwim School is innovative and up-to-date, using proven methods to achieve results and to keep your child excited about their next lesson! Your child will receive the benefit of structured, challenging swim instruction and my commitment to you of safety, achievement and celebration!

STEP 1 – Find Skill Level

Class Levels are designed to help identify the experience level of your swimmer for instruction and lesson scheduling.

Level 1.0
Beginner - Preparing for Swimming Fundamentals
Description:
This skill level is for swimmers with no swim experience. If your child shows a fear of the water or is not willing to put their face in, this is where to start.
Skills acquired in Level 1.0 include:
- blowing bubbles through mouth and nose
- picking up submerged objects at arms length
- kicking - laying on tummy and back
- front/back float (assisted)
- introduction to arm movements
- ability to swim short distances unassisted.

To advance to Level 1.5
Swim 2-3 feet, float on tummy for 1 second, float on back (assisted).

Level 1.5
Beginner Plus - Additional Preparation (if needed)
Description:
This skill level is for swimmers with some swim experience. This is for students that need more time to master the Beginner skills.
Skills acquired in Level 1.5 include:
- blowing bubbles through mouth and nose
- picking up submerged objects at arms length
- kicking - laying on tummy and back
- front/back float (assisted)
- introduction to arm movements
- ability to swim short distances unassisted.

To advance to Level 2.0
Swim 5 yards, submerge head fully, float on tummy for 3 seconds, roll from tummy-to-back, float on back for 3 seconds (assisted).

Level 2.0
Fundamentals - Big Arms, Front/Back Swim & Float
Description:
This level is for swimmers that are comfortable in the water and building confidence and skills.
Skills acquired in Level 2.0 include:
- bobbing up-and-down
- picking up submerged objects at 3 1/2 foot depth
- front and back float unassisted
- “big arm” freestyle stroke with kick
- swimming on back

Level 3.0
Stroke Development - Rotary Breathing, 4 Strokes
Description:
This level is for swimmers that are now ready to learn and master the 4 competitive swim strokes.
Skills acquired in Level 3.0 include:
- jump in deep water
- diving - from sitting or kneeling
- rotary breathing
- back stroke
- body dolphin (butterfly kick)
- underwater swimming (breaststroke)

To advance to Level 4.0
Swim 40 feet with rhythmic breathing, back stroke, body dolphin, underwater swimming.
